the cradle is finished and ready for the mattress and blanket. Just in time..... our daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last night. Finished the cradle today and we will deliver it Tuesday or Wednesday. Our son in law doesn't want it finished yet due to the possible toxic fumes from the stain and finish. He said he wants to finish it in a " Salad Bowl " finish and then use bees wax to top that off. A couple of pictures.  Thanks                                                                                                                                          Roger

I can't get pictures to load. Never have a problem with that. Guess I will have to try later???????

Congratulations. I trust momma and baby just fine?

" Salad Bowl " finish? Just a wipe of oil and then wax to protect?

I can understand your son-in-laws concern about toxic fumes and a new born, can't be to careful.

DSCF8796.JPG In the shop. DSCF8824.JPG At home ready for making the mattress.

DSCF8785.JPG Wife said I had to show my ugly mug during the construction.

And this is the star it was built for. She is such a cutie and has us all wrapped around her little finger.
