I love seat time but enough is enough, 18"-24" more snow coming tonight and tomorrow with hurricane force wind. At this rate I will have snow in my yard till August. I WANT TO MOW MY LAWN. Thanks for letting me whine. Jim

I have no complaints with the weather. I started calving this week and it's 50 degrees, the snow melted off (except for the piles). If Washington to California fell off we would be be the new West cost. But this is Montana and winter will hit again any day.

We haven't had enough snow to get us discouraged yet. They were calling for 2 to 5" tonight but I think it is done already at 1/2". I love running the snowblower but haven't had much chance to do so. You all could spread the love and send it our way :D

I can't stand these little 1" snow squalls. All they do is make people drive like idiots and the drive to work slow as crap. Would much rather get dumped on and get some seat time then deal with the looney toons on the road.

I hear ya.  Down south in UT, sping has been around for over a month.  Jan was a wopping total of 3% precip.  Snowpacks are LOW.  I wish we could have a change in the jetstream to equalize and give the east coast a break and pass some moisture back here.

Only one time to warm the seat.  I have tilled the garden and planted some peas.

Be safe back east, and stay warm!

there is very little snow left in my yard after a foot a week a go Sunday. But temp started at about 17 and has dropped all day.
It is below zero and still dropping, probably double-digits by morning.

You guys out east are getting hammered, be safe out there.

I see the clover coming up in my yard now and dandelions are blooming now also. This cold snap will slow it down some.

Does he get five warning points or should he be on Hairball Cleanup Duty for awhile?

Yeah, cold snap alright.  "Oh, gee, the thermometer says 60 this morning!"

You are on Cat Litter Box Duty for a week.   If you say stuff like this again you'll be on Cat Litter Box Duty for a month next time.

Worked in my shirt (short) sleeves all day today.  Got the Dayton running good; greased and lubed her up; put the aerator on and went to work on a bunch of lawns...

But, as Pager450 said, we truly need some precip... Utah is the 2nd driest state in the nation--our drinking, bathing, gardening, lawn growing, car washing water comes primarily from snow pack that melts and is collected in reservoirs and in underground aquifiers... we've had less snow all winter than what I've seen in one day in winters past...

I second Ryan... we'll gladly take some of the snow you Easterners are getting.

Looks like another foot feel over night.
Not as much as was treatened.
Should be able to clean it up enough today to get to work Monday.
One silver lining, light fluffy stuff, doesn't bring down power lines!

Did not get more than 4-5 inches but with wind blowing we got white outs Saturday. This morning I got 1/2 my driveway cleared by the wind and 1/2 drifted shut along with -6 degrees. Not looking forward  to getting the tractor started and pushing out the drifts.

Snowing and blowing like mad here right now. It's supposed to turn to rain by noon then freeze up late this afternoon and go to -13C 11F overnight and stay there tomorrow. Looks like we will get close to a foot if it keeps up much longer. We had close to 6" down at 7am. We're up to our butts in snow and ice here. This quick change to rain and flash freeze will only make the ice worse. No thaw in sight for the next week at least. The cold should break sometime soon but with the unpredictable weather patterns lately who knows what will be next. At least the daylight hours are starting to get longer as we slog through February.
