Hi All,
Call me crazy if you like but, I had a 1997 I believe 16 -G rider that had the original Gravely battery in it. Unfortunately it is history but I have never seen a battery with a manufactures name brand on it. Is anyone interested in it ? Maybe as a shelf display. As I type I'm not sure if I still have a pic in the phone so if anyone has an interest please let me know.

That's interesting.  I thought John Deere was the only one who branded their batteries.

I am interested in starting a Gravely collection, but maybe I should wait for something more complete to start off with. Like a tractor or a walk behind.

I was amazed that it was still in there. I just don't want to recycle it.

Great save, I knew that John Deere had and still has their own labeled battery. I'm sure other brands did just as Wheel Horse, Montgomery Ward & Sears did with tires.

If I'm not mistaken Rick Show has one that is NOS.

It would be a start, although a small one. It could be kept out of sight until the rest of the collection arrives. That way the other half won't see it until the collection is fully under way. :D

In the mean time the old battery will leak and corrode the shelf you set it on and make a mess!  And, maybe smell a little?  Light a cigarette near by, etc.   Old batts leave My shop real soon!

Grumpy ,

Whats in that cigarette you lit? this thing is deader than dead. I just thought there might be someone out there that might want it for their gravely collection.
