Well I keep blades on two of my 23's and single stage blower handy if needed, also a bolster busting 2stage and my nicest 23 ( came together) as worse case senario back up. We like a lot of others have been getting friggin pounded with snow so off with the blade and on with the caster at the in-laws to tackle last weeks'( or the week before, or week before or , yea all starting to run together) snow storms, blitzed through it like Grant took Richmond and I'm off to my house and my 450' drive, no problem snow removed time to take it back over to the in-laws, turn the corner onto the state highway and its starts to cough, weeze , spit, sputter and then..... down goes Frazier , uh oh , main road lot a snow no wide berm its snow packed ,me & the 23 sitting ducks, as Ralphie would say " oh fuuuudge" I won't give the details of the one man comedy act 2 tractors and the near you gotta be shi#ing me episode that followed, anyways got it back to my place, blew a head gasket, carb FOS, ( where the hell did this crap come from). De- carboned , flushed the tank, new fuel pump, filter and lines , carb cleaned and a kit in it. 1200 hr tractor still popping 120 pleased as can be, it's now ready for another 1200 😊. PS two 👍 on the rubber tire chains

Got the WH Stuck sideways to the road with the blower hooked in a drift and the tail on a big ice patch sticking out there saying Please Hit Me.

Never prayed for the plow not to come thru before..

I know the feeling

All and all I'd say you got lucky!
My luck it would have been worse. Much worse!
It took Grant like six months to get into Richmond! Talk about a stand off!
Maybe you were thinking of Sherman's March to the sea?

My guess would be that all that stuff in the fuel system came from the portable tanks you used to fill the tank?

Thanks for history lesson and correction all these years I've been told that, turns out what they really meant was I took to long! Have a large fill tank w/filter ,switched over and run ethanol free 90 octane, I'm thinking good gas shocked it's system , tractor relatively new to me and it had enough mechanical woes I just never got around to the fuel system.

All right! -10 degrees this morning ,six plus inches of white stuff blown into two foot + drifts, time to see if I cured that 23's ills. Now it's been 16 years since we built the house and days like today make me wonder what I was thinking when I thought 450' of driveway was a good idea , couple that with I have a like new soft cab in storage and not on a tractor where it should be! that white crap is cold blowing back in ones face as you hit the drifts "naked to the elements".Yea I know ,when you're dumb you suffer.. Okay the 23 ran like a race horse, no bit#hing about the cold, hit the drifts and went thru them like "Shermans'march.. hey wait I'm not using that. I was born below the M-D line (original) plus mom's sides all from Southeast Kentucky. Let's say it did as Frank sang ".. ate it up and spit it out!" all's good, course this winter wonderland crap can be over, seen enough.
