How many times have i said/thought it....stay off the internet....message boards......especially that truly despicable site called craigslist.....................and how many times have I ignored my own and my poor wife's advice????????  too many times i fear................

Anyway, normally(now dont hold this against me)  search the JD stuff, but got a wild hair and typed in cub cadet..........big mistake.  found a 1861 listed that stated it had at least a 50" mowing deck ran and mowed but needed starter solenoid.  Emailed and waited and waited for 4 days no response.  So just in case i emailed again in case he did not receive first one.  Called me that nite and said tractor was rough but very low hours so set a time to go see it (this morning)

Got there and fender pan is in primer, no side panels, etc etc.  but it fired right up small puff of smoke from the choke and purred like a kitten.  Deck raise and lower no problem, had him engage deck and bearings seem noisy.  Checked hour meter   172.3  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Story was original owner used for a couple of years then got sick, tractor was parked in pole shed for 10-15 years until purchased and used agian for a couple of years  Price was right so it came home with me..................................

Hopefully will have time to post pics saturday weather pemitting

Thanks for listening/reading and hopefully wife will still let me get on the internet to post pics  LOL

I think you paraphrased---or else used spell check.  He distinctly said "I'm getting out of the Hobbie" which I'm assuming means he has his eye on something other than a Hobbie Cat sailboat.  Hopefully he'll man up and get a power boat.

My barn was all red. I guess for the blood we shed.

Then the grandson 'n I found this sittin' outside, we watched it for 'bout a year. Never moved.

One day, grandson raggin' on me, we stopped. Chatted with the owner, Cub had a few problems.

Well, for a song like Louis Prima, we trailered the poor thingy home. Our newest project.

Well runnin' great after some work 'n parts. Next up the deck.

Now we're suffering from yellow fever. Hey it happens!
