My Daughter BRILEY is getting ready to compete in her 3rd year of Individual Food Challenge again this morning. Her Mom and I are PRAYING for Great results this year. Next Saturday we will be back for the Public Speaking competition. Will try to update later as how she does.

What is a food challenge?

It like a cook off, but the contestants don't know what they are cooking. They are giving a food category and a bunch of ingredients and have 30 minutes to complete their dish and also get together info on the dish. They talk about nutritional values, cost per serving, health benefits of the dish. How to make it more nutritional with substantion of other ingredients.

That sounds like alot of fun, good luck to her. Thats similar to the competition shows on food network.

These shows must be like an "Enhanced" 4-H program?  Bigger, from Texas!  Yep! Sounds like those Chef shows on TV all over the channels.  I couldn't do much with-out instructions myself. Good luck!
