first what type of gas are you using?

regular unleaded gas or the blended gas?

have you checked the needle valve?

have you set the float to Kohler specs?

using the blended gas - the alcohol is not good for the needle valve.  it soften the rubber tip on the needle valve.

the float should be set around 11/16" - see Kohler's manual.  if you do not have one you can download it from the Manual section on this site.

hope this helps you

good luck
