Hi

Looking for opinions.

I see an add for HT-20 with loader, rototiller, wheel weights, and chains. $2500.

I also know where there is cab, snow blower and mower deck, this guy wants $1000

In my mind.  if could get both guys down to  about $2500 for everything it would be closer.

Any thoughts??

Depends on condition and running of the tractor and what options are on it,if it has power steering that's a bonus,is the cab canvas or a metal Cozy cab, make sure the loader is not all bent up and welded,if all the stuff checks out good, you should be ok at the price you looking at for the package

Around here, I think your being un reasonable in your expectations.
The cab, if it's a Cozy Cab is worth $500.
Snow blower go $600 to $750.

So, the guy selling the tractor would have to take $1000 off!
Around here it's not uncommon to ask $1500 for just a loader.

You asked for opinions,
That's mine!

Unless you are stuck in the last decade, $2,500.00 for the HT20 with those attachments is a very good deal, assuming that the tractor is in decent running condition.

If the cab is a metal one, then the $1,000.00 is possibly a bit high for that package, unless all of it is in REALLY good shape.  That's assuming that the snowblower is a single stage.  If it's a two stage, then the $1,000 becomes a very good deal.

The other thing to consider is how common are Bolens goodies in your area?  I'm thinking that there aren't than many out there, so that would add to the 'value' as you have to consider supply/demand.

The cab/snowblower/mower deck deal... will that stuff fit on the loader tractor?

A loader w/tiller on back is a good combo, but i wouldn't want to pull off a loader to mount a deck or blower every time the seasons change.  Not to mention you lose your loader, or at least ground clearance

As for the price, if you subtract the value of the extras

tiller 350

weights 100

chains 50

total 500

That leaves the loader priced at 2000.  That sounds about average for a bare GT/loader.  Loaders and tillers can put a lot of strain over the years, i'd check it out real good.  I might also be off on the prices, don't know much about bolens, good luck

Good point on the mower deck, not sure if you would be able to mount it with the loader on,as far as the blower you could pull the pins and remove just the bucket or lift the the loader bucket up and leave it up when using the blower, thats with the 42" blower, not sure if that would work with the big 2 stage

The mower deck will work with the loader still attached. I mowed my lawn all of last season with the loader still mounted to my HT23. The only issue was having to raise the bucket to clear stuff in some of the tight spots. You could remove the loader arms/bucket to avoid that issue, if you want to. That's a good reason to have quick couplers on the hydro lines.

Nothing wrong with trying to get a good deal,as long as your not insulting someone, and trying to low ball them

FYI these guys are giving you numbers of something they never seen or do they know what may be wrong with it.  Your the guy that has to do that not us.   These number may mean nothing.  Its your money not there's you have to be happy with how much you spend these tractors can become a money pit in no time.

Which, if you bother to go back and read my post again, I covered that when I said:

"... assuming that the tractor is in decent running condition."

I think that should be pretty much assumed to be the case barring any info to the contrary.

I did and I was just clarifying that these numbers are given out by people who have not seen it in person.

Would you make offer on something without seeing it first?
