it was -17* here in Northern Michigan this morning at 7:30am and it is already up to 8* at this time. This means that the temperature difference has upped the differential in a short amount of time and that when the groundhog Phil say his shadow it meant that ...................... Ya , right what it means is that it's dang cold and winter will be over when it wants to be and then spring will be here when it gets here. Have some GT projects to get to as soon as it gets warmer. Still working on the Baby Cradle in the wood shop. Hope you all are weathering the snowmageddon well and are getting some seat time. We have only plowed twice here since the first of January.  Saty warm and stay safe everyone.  Think I'll go have a groundhog burger for lunch.                                   Roger

I have Spring flowers trying to come up. With this weekend temps in the 70's, I'm sure they will come on up.

Been cold and wet all week here, down in the mid 30's at night and only up in the mid 50's during the day. By Saturday we are supposed to be sunny and mid 70's. We'll see how that plays out.

The spring flowers were also blossoming here - and then the frost came back  :bs:

Yeah I am also in Northern Michigan and I agree; I can't remember the last time winter was over 6 weeks after groundhog's day! Still no end in sight, it was -20 at my house this morning. So ready to fire up the tractors and head to some shows and get working on them more often.

I'm from Punxsutawney and Phil and I are good friends and I will not tolerate any malicious talk about Phil.

P.S. Spell check thinks Punsxutawney should be spelled Subcutaneous.

I think that's the layer of skin that gets shaved off when you use a 3 blade razor.

I had never heard the term "whistle pig" until saturday while watching a foodie show on tv.

Their "whistle pig" was a bacon wrapped deep fried hot dog that whistles while being cooked.

Most groundhogs I have seen were around ditch whistles and big enough to ride, so I get that one too
