Good afternoon.  I am awaiting the hood from the body shop on the Springfield 357a restoration I am doing.  I need a new decal for the hood.  I checked with our local sign shop and they want 85 dollars to create and produce a lousy decal.  Does anyone have any other sources/ideas?  I really hate to hand paint this if I don't have to.  All I have for reference is a couple of pictures of the original decal.springfield.jpg

With pics and dimensions, some folks are using "clickitandstickit" (whatever their name is).

Give them a try. I had a couple made by them and was happy with them.

Some places in those markets will make a decal if they think there is more sales possible in future. Something like this will be more rare, not such a good deal for them. That Does look kind of Busy say to make and take more time. Try some of the advertised places and see what they will do. Those guys in Tex and IN do garden tractor stuff. There name is not registering in my brain, help me out here guys! Maples I think?  They have many not offered by others, and Have made some special orders for others.

I use a local sign lettering guy. I spoke with some people with online businesses but they wanted the rights to my designs for free.
Hey i took the time to draw and research them why should i let them collect on my hard work.
As for 85 bucks most of mine were cheaper but i draw them in cadd myself and he scans a pdf.

I consulted redoyourhorse.com yesterday and sent Terry the pic at the top of this post.  Within 2 hrs he had a crystal clear likeness created, and an hour later had it offered under other vintage stickers for $8.00!!!!!!!!  Thanks again for the tips folks.  This website has proven so useful so far.  Wish I'd joined it years ago!

Been photodocumenting the resto start to finish.  Purchased it from a 16 yr old kid out of his scrap truck.  Was too cute to pass up.  My Avatar pic is from the day I got it. Plan on posting it when its done.  My friend at the body shop got busy with smashed cars after the last snowfall, so I got shoved aside for a minute.  Oh, the agony of the wait....
