I looked under my 212 for a moment to determine if the front lift assist was in fact not there. Granted it is snowing and it is outside. So I didn't get a good look. I do not see any spring going toward rear of tractor like it does on my 110. So I guess it isn't there.

Does anyone have any pics of their front lift assist and secondary shaft (rock shaft) installed on their 210, 212, 214 or 216? So that way I can see what it looks like mounted?

Ya, definitely don't have that big honking thing in it.

Now I gotta find a good one of those. Fleabay is ridiculous in price for broken ones or ones missing pieces. None I seen were complete or not broken.

I have a lift assist off a JD tractor, just don't know which one. I'll get a pic for you in a bit!

I found a lift assist spring assembly but not purchased it yet.  They are wanting $225 plus shipping.  Seems a little high to me.  What do you think about the price?

AHA! No wonder I lost that! DOH! I didn't even think to look for it there. I very seldom look to see where a thread is posted anyway!

So what would be a good going rate for one in good condition? $100-$150? I missed one last week on eBay. Sold for $149. Kicking myself now.

I think I gave around $120 less than a year ago for mine. Take your time and a good deal will show up it took me a few months of scanning ebay before getting one in my price range.
