Hello all. New here, so bear with me. I have a GTV/16, 917.253724, 1981. Is this where I should be with this tractor? If so, I have the owners manual in .pdf I would be happy to share. Wasn't sure if it belongs in the Sears/Roper area.

Thank you. Just wanted to be sure I had the right forum for 'Ol Ugly'. Don't want her to feel out of place.

Kenny, I welcomed you in another post. Glad you're enjoying the site.

We don't necessarily consider a tractor in work clothes to be ugly, just well used. LOL

Sears/Roper and Craftsman were separated because of the vast difference in build and different manufacturer. You found the right home for her.

As for the manual, we have a dedicated manuals area for Craftsman too. If you have any questions, please ask.

I looked in your manual section and did not see this one. I would upload it, just wasn't sure how to go about doing so.

Actually pretty easy, when you click on manuals, there is an "add file" link that shows up right under it. Next screen, just fill in the blanks, choose a file to upload, etc. Just make sure it's a PDF file & if it's too big, we may have to resize it so it can be downloaded easier... We'll worry about that later. There's a place to put a preview image, if you want me to, I'll do that. We are just adding the previews now, so it's no big deal to do one more.

Got it uploaded and it asked for the preview. Don't have it handy. Would be appreciated if you could do it. I like to see lots of manuals, if there is a question about something, you can refer to it to clarify things.

Got the image uploaded, MH81. Hope it worked. If I find any more manuals you folks don't have, I will share. I belong to several forums and always find someone looking for a manual. I like to download all I need for what I have.

I have a Craftsman II also. Don't know the year or engine size. Fender pan was missing when I got it and the #s for the engine. It runs, but has a slight knock. It's a six speed, 44" cut. Similar to a GT6K.
