I know I am not a painter but I thought it would be better then leaving it rusty. I don't what gt it was for but the last owner made a homemade pto on the CC 102 to make it work.

Better to have 4 coats put on with a paint brush from 10 foot than to have a speck of rust, imo.  I don't recognize what it fit originally. Nice save.
