I just got out of a 2 hour long meeting with people about Ultrasonic pest repellers.

What do you think?  Do they work? Are they a waste of money?

It was an interesting meeting.

We tried one of the cheap ones when we lived in an old farm house 20 years ago. My wife was tired of finding mouse poop on the kitchen counter. We plugged it in and set it on the counter. The next morning there was mouse poop within 2 inches of the repeller, so I vote waste of money

I have one I bought from JCWhitney 25+ years ago that seems to help. The critters that are already in the garage seem to get used to it but it does seem to keep a good portion of the mice and bugs from coming into the garage. Its a only a repellant but for $10 it has been worth it. I use traps and bait too. Good Luck, Rick

We bought a package of them.  Plugged them in and forgot about them, 'cause they did nothing.  6 months later our two dogs were deaf as a doorknob.

bought 2 of them , different brands, a couple of years ago.

They didn't seem to keep the mice out however after a few hours the little buggers would leave the building.

Seems like moth balls and bounce dryer sheets work just as well.

Never found them to be useful. I wish they had worked...would've made life easier, been less expensive than d-con, and fewer odd smells from the walls when the d-con was eaten.

Well we bought 4000 dollars worth of them(little 110v plug in). Then we bought these huge boom box ones that are supposed to work for 6 acres. Those were 800 a piece.

I guess we will see. Upper executive Corporate wants then installed at each substation and vent fan building. No convincing them that they were snake oil.

weird how this works. Upper executive corporate management tells us(middle corporate management) we pass it on to lower corporate management who passes it on to mine level management. Who then says we don't know what to do so we have a huge meeting that consumed hours of my life I shall never get back.

I see Cat is still lurking around.  The ultrasonic pest repeller in the mod room didn't work, George, you'd better try and get your money back.
