I have a Birthday today as was noted in the B Day thread. Yeah, yeah, no biggie! Just send donations in my name to the National Home for Old Mechanics.
I did some figuring. When I was two years old, I was 50% older than when I was one. Now, here is the good part. This year being sixty-eight, I am .014% older than last year. Shoot! Pretty soon another year won't make any difference at all.

:happy_birthday:

I never worried about being a year older on any birthday. I never had any birthday crisis at 30 or 40, or 50, but in a few months, I will be 60 and I think it will be rough on me!!

Happy birthday Lilysdad.  Sixty eight is not old, I just turned 73 and I still enjoy working on garden tractors and making attachments for them.  In fact, I firmly believe that working on garden tractors helps keep you young.

Happy Birthday Lilysdad. I think birthdays are a way of keeping us focused on what is important in life. I just turned 55 the 7th of this month and while it wasn't a shock it did make me stop and think about the coming years. Being the youngest of 9 I watched as my older siblings turned 50-60 and now the oldest is 73 her next birthday. I don't know what the coming years will bring no one does, I do know what I want for me and my family and each birthday just makes me stay focused on that. And it puts me 1 year closer to retirement. Just like what Delmar said to Pete,"that means that I'll only be 81 when I get out!", age is just a number you are only as old as you feel...and do....p.s. Happy Birthday!

Make it a great day! II will hit 65 next Tuesday. Rarely think about it other than to marvel at the things i did when younger and celebrate the fact I made it this far. I got an invitation to a class reunion last summer with a list of 39 classmates who are no longer with us??

Happy Birthday!  I'm getting the feeling that I may be the young pup in this crowd at 51.  Hey, it's just a number.  Just keep focused on the right things and all will be well.  Enjoy the day... and every one you get after today.
