I had a hard time sleeping last night thinking about this 600 LOL.
I went out this morning to see what had to be done to get it working. First I checked for spark and was pleasantly surprised to see a nice Blue spark appear.
I then checked the tank and it was almost brand new looking inside. I then replaced the rotted fuel line and proceeded onto the carb. I took it appart and found the gasket was all crumbly and rotton. Since I like to save everything I happened to have a used gasket on hand :D I cleaned the carb real good and assembled it. There was a homemade muffler on the engine that I replaced with a good one I had on the shelf.
I poured some gas and some sea foam in the tank and gave her a pull and off she went! :dancingbanana: It was pouring rain outside so I only got to drive it a little bit. I just love this thing!

I also have the starter/generator that I still have to check if it works. It will also need new belts and a carb rebuild kit.

Thanks Guys

Yes that engine has real good compression and not a hint of smoke.
The previous owner shown me pics of it cutting the grass last summer so I knew there was not much wrong with it.

I forgot the tractor came short of the engine. Talk about lucky finding the correct engine for this ride! I guess it's the right one....same color & all??

Very nice looking 600 you got, so what year is it?
Why does it look like the lift handle is bent?

Its a 1963. Both the 800 and 600 are 63's

On the 62'-63' models the lift handels extended out a bit farther than the other handles. The 800 is like that as well
