I missed one and a half.  Got the last half on 10 but not the name, and #19.  Rest were easy.

I got them all right. Hank we did not get it w/o thinking it through back them. I was only 9 yrs old when Buddy Holly,Ritchie Valenz and BIG BOPPER were killed in that plane crash in northern Iowa. Whalen Jennings gave up his seat on the plane because Big Bopper was sick. I always wondered if survivors remorse contributed to his chemical abuse after that? incidentally the anniversary of that event is coming up February 3.
1959 was the year.

Myself and two close friends were at that performance and dance that night.  We heard about the plane crash on the way home in our car.  Graduated from High School that spring.

I was a State Conservation Officer the night that Rocky Marciano died in a plane crash along I 80 East of Newton Iowa.  I was assigned that area and helped with that accident all night.  We had a lot of rain for several days ahead of that night and no vehicles could get to the plane for the mud.  Had to go by foot till a several farmers with tractors and hay racks helped out.

I'm a young guy and I managed to get all but two.   :(

I must have been born younger than my brain is.

My grandmother had one of those.  It collapsed down to the size of a snuff can.  I carried that thing with me all over when I was a kid.  I'd take it to school, fold it out and fill it out at the water fountain and drink out of it.  All the kids were jealous.  But anyone that's how I knew speedy on that one.

Yes, Dad was farming a place one mile west and one mile south of that site that year.
