I wonder what his idea of a "reasonable offer" is?

Normally, I agree with you Brian, but not this time!

The reel mower attachment alone is worth near the $50 you would be willing to pay, but would you sell yours for $50 with a tractor attached ????

Why is a Bolens reverse disc worth $95, or a steering wheel cap worth $100, but a complete tractor with a Wisconsin engine and a complete attachment worth only $50?

There is no question that it would take some time and $$ to make this tractor useable, but the salvageable parts alone are worth more than $50.

Me thinks this all comes back to whether someone is buying or selling!   ....This also applies to the "What's it worth?" threads that several members vehemently oppose.  .....While the TV shows promote ridiculous asking prices, the constant low-balling in some responses is equally misleading to people who ask for some help.   ....We all want to buy cheaply, but sell at a high price!

Let's also remember that certain items that are plentiful in one area may be harder to find in another area, so prices may vary geographically.

Of course, these are only my opinions, and you are certainly entitled to your opinions as well.

It was a beat to death 1256 around 71 to 72' they said it was a 66' :D

Steering wheel was toast, wrong tires, throttle controls were gone, no seat, and the engine was missing they paid $100. The guy said he saw a 1963 on ebay and they were asking $700 :wallbanging: I think I know the one he's talking about as its still for sale  :firejumper:

He suckered a guy into it for $200! I cant believe he would do that to someone, he even stated himself he wouldn't pay that for it!  :wallbanging:

These guys look like a bunch of cheapskates and low ballers to me!

I do have to agree with you I would pay more then $50 but its still just a tube frame and I would not look at it for buying it for parts... The only thing good it has going is the reel becaues I dont have one yet. :D

How rare is the front reel mower attachment ? It's a really cool design just one question is the drive shaft on a pto or does it run right off the motor

I guess we'll just have to disagree on this one.

I always view stuff as a collector looking to fix these to new condition and never at "Parted Prices"

The reel is somewhat of a gem as its a 1962/1963 Gold seal series. Thats what I put my $50 on.
