Not a bad price compared to what usually pops up on CL. Still not low enough for me to go green.

Biggest scare is a KT17?  I have NO love for that engine, yet some are still going strong!  If it was the 18horse, has the better engine and would be better. Not a bad price really as you said. I have bought worse for same money, ha!

I don't find much difference price wise between older JDs, CCs and MF tractors around here. Compared to what you guys pay down south, the JDs are better priced compared to other tractors. We never get 100 or even 200$ older GTs up here. I only paid 350 for my 317, and was lucky to get it at that price, but it was a money pit. I probably have about 1200-1500 in it at this point. The 314 I have probably 1500-2K in it and it needs a motor in the near future. A lot of them are really worn out. the rear ends are strong but the wheel bearings are shot on a lot of them and are hard to find and very expensive if bought from JD. Same with a number of other parts like front motor mounts, drive shaft couplers etc.
