Think of it as an adventure Pete. We eventually get to the bottom of things. Briggs marked the bag wrong as far as the O.D. of the seal. I bought those seals directly from the Simplicity parts store online.

Through all of this we’re any of you able to find the thick seal?

If not what did you do to seal the case.

I was able to find the thick seal, National part number 450233, but I just got lucky searching on Ebay. If I couldn't find another, I would just use a 1/4" thick seal that's available and add shims to take up the 1/4" of space remaining.
