K341 timing mark

which one?

mine dont have balance gears and there is two marks on crank just want to make sure

Check the manuals section here and download the appropriate manual. It will have the exact info on which mark is for the camshaft and crankshaft timing.

You are trying to time the crank to the cam.

 

The primary mark on the crankshaft is the "dash" on the land next to the gear.  The secondary mark (only used for the balance gear setup) is on the counter throw casting.  You are aligning the primary mark to the camshaft mark. 

 

Without the balance gears, it is a piece of cake.  You are aligning the two marks (one on the cam, one on the crank) together and then all you need to do is button up the engine.

He would need the K series service manual, very thorough and very useful!
