When I first started tinkering on the Perkins 3 cylinder I got from member TheFarm2004, it belched out a lot of smoke and didn't want to keep fire unless the starter was spinning.  Turned out cylinder 3 was where the main issue was, and it was turned way up.  I loosened the line and set screw at the base of #3 injector and turned it CW just a tiny bit.  It then kept running much better, but still would not shut off as the rack couldn't move #3 to kill position.  I kept moving it till it would shut down plus just a shade more.  Then I also adjusted by ear/smoke on the other 2 cylinders till she ran much smoother and shut down as she should.

I went back & looked at your pics, and no adjustment rings on yours.  Your fuel timing & rate must be set by shim gaskets under the pump.  I haven't ever had to deal with shimming on a diesel.

I know I didn't take or loose any shims from under the block but what I'm not sure of os there is a lever inside the pump from throttle arm to this block and I had the gear out and maybe put it together in the wrong spot. Any help with this is needed. Lol. Thanks
