She is on the smaller side, so I'd say 10 to 12hp as the sale ad stated.

I've got two of these engines and I think Duck hit the nail on the head. At the RPM that the governor is set at it is rated at 13 hp. Very nice engines and one of the quickest starting diesels I have run across. Placed one in a Yamaha golf cart and it made a great combination. Uses so little fuel that I forget put fuel in it. Down load the following for useful information.

It shouldn't have a problem running the tiller but I have no experience with snow blowers.

Well I started working on this project today. Mounts are too wide to fit into the frame. I removed them to mock it up inside the frame. On removal of the mounts,i uncovered a model #. Finally. Been searching for info on what I couldn't find. Cat and Smitty have been trying to help me out on this. So the # is 2TNE66K. So I looked through the manuals I have avalible and still came up empty. So can anyone help me out to figure out what hp this is?

I have all the info you need for this motor. I have one converted in my sailboat currently.

Thanks, have you any specific manuals for this engine? If so,that would be great if you could share!

Paul

Alright, another question for you diesel folk. As I've stated, this engine is out of a reefer unit. The alternator has a mass of wires and a condenser on the back.Do all these wire have to be hooked up?,or can I take some off? Why I ask is,there is only an inch between the exhaust and all these wires. I imagine they will get too hot and melt. I've tried to make a heat shield for between the 2 and just not enough room.

Take the alternator model number and do a search on it. I have in the past been able to find wiring schematics for them. If it is a single wire alternator you can get by with one wire. From the sounds of it you are going to need at least two of or three wires.

Thanks Chris, I just didn't think I'd need so many of these wires. I will check tomorrow while I'm at the shop. One more question tonight. On the side of each injecter, there is a nipple. There is a hose from one to the other injecter.but from the second one, there is nothing on that nipple. Is this like a return fuel to the tank?

Your correct. It needs to return to your fuel tank above the fuel level. I've tried to return it to the main fuel line before the lift pump but this doesn't work. If you run out of fuel it is almost impossible to get the air out of the system.
