Do you know if the 800 had a center cap for the steering wheel? I have not seen one in the part guide and have not seen a picture of one. I did however see an early bolens with a triangular looking steering cap.

On my 800, there is no centre cap. I know the Lawn Keeper got a red triangle on the steering wheel; there may be other models as well.

People with more knowledge than I will also answer your question.

The 800 Did not use a cap, only the Husky 900 & 1000 had the triangle shaped snap on ones.

The 600, 700 & 800 were not supplied with steering wheel caps. The 900 & 1000 models added a steering wheel cap triangular or "Y" shaped.

as others have said no center cap on the 800. They did us a pretty chrome plated washer instead.

Thank you to everyone for that information. Mine is correct, no cover. I plan on doing a restoration on it sometime this year. It is in pretty nice shape and won't need any major work, mainly disassemble, clean, inspect, replace wear items like brake linings, seals etc. Amazing that no seals are leaking after all those years.
