I would reply. Sounds like you have a serious buyer there.  :D    Tell her that the target subject is still available and triple the price. Tell her to have her boss hurry because the price goes up daily do to it becoming more collectable and rarer by the day. Nice thing about CL is that it hides your email so you can screw with them all you want.

I have so much fun with those scammers.  They will stay on the hook as long as you are replying to them.

I would sit tight and not reply, if its real let the boss reply on his own. Doesn't sound legit.

Reply with a bogus email account, they will send you a check for 10X the amount. When they ask you to send them the balance of the check, tell them you are keeping all the money until they come pick up the tractor :rocker2:  :dancingbanana:

We did that with a camper we sold, didn't realize it was a scam until the check arrive, I screwed with them for almost 2 weeks until I finally told them I had turned them into local police.

Theyll probably offer some ridiculously high high amount of money for you to ship it. The worst that ever happens to me is I tell them my email they send me a fake Paypal payment confirmation email, then I tell them its fake they ask me what I mean and I forward the email to Paypal.

At a minimum they want you to contact them outside of craigslist to get a valid email address to add to their list that they will then sell to spammers.

I set up an email account just for Cl scammers. Every time I got a new one I would send out an "up yours" email to them and everyone in the address book.

There is also a "report" option at the bottom of the email where you can report scammers and harassing emails to craigslist to get them (their IP) banned
