I know this has been asked countless times but I can't find a straight up answer. I've got some ATF that says it can be used in place of Dexron III and a few other kinds of fluids. I am just wondering if I can use this in my Super Chief hydro trans

Okay so today I went to pull the plugs on the hydro and a little tiny bit of oil came out but that was it? Also I noticed that the plug to fill the top of the hydro is very hard to get at due to the seat frame. The hydro pump doesn't need separate oil than the differential does it?

The hydro uses Dextron III, the differential uses 80-90W. Going to be checking out my 1450 today for lube back there and install a new filter in the hydro. I'll have pics.
