The QA36 is a good thrower and will work quite well with a 12 hp engine. The only suggestion I would offer up is to put the next size smaller pulley on the gearbox to speed up the auger. For a single stage unit they can sure chuck snow. I think they work a little better with a hydro as you can dial in the ground speed of the tractor.

I have a QA36 on my 107.  The 10hp turning the blower and the hydro has its hands full but it does the job.  I see by your profile you only have a 122 listed.  If this is the tractor you want to put it on it will not work without modifications.  A QA is a "quick attach" and a 122 is not a quick attach tractor.  A direct bolt on blower would be a CC36 or CC42.  If you intend on using it on your 122 do you have a creeper in it?  If not it won't work very well as the tractor is not slow enough in low gear for the job.  A creeper in the 122 and a CC36 would get the job done nicely though.
