What can you guys tell me about this?

Doesn't run. No deck.

200 bucks....how hard to find a deck? Not so much worried about the not running as long as the motor is free and has compression.

Thought this would have a tecumseh but it says Kohler on ad

That looks like a decent tractor. A deck shouldn't be to hard to find since Sears used the same design for a long time on those tractors. The engine in it is a Tecumseh.

I'm on my phone, but it sure looks.like a Teccy to me.

Decks are out there, but they're gaining In $.

if it doesn't run, it could be another 150 to get spark. Ask of it has the points on the right hand side front of tue engine. If it doesn't have points, it will have CDI and they get expensive to replace.

Looks like it has the original muffler, which is a hard to find piece these days. The fenders would make it a 66 if they are correct. The floor boards are interesting.

The back half of the floorboards look like they were added on the gt. The tins look pretty good and with the plow and wheel weights should be worth 2 bills

Ok, finally on the ipad and the pictures are,big enough to see.
Definitely a Tecumseh, everything the guys pointed out is right.
If the fenders and engine are OEM, it should have points... If it has points, worst case scenario, you convert it to battery ignition, it those mags are pretty robust and the issue (if it's sparkless) is more likely points-condenser than serious.
I've had two of these OEM mufflers. They aren't much for muffling but they are neat to have. Only blessing is the noise is kinda blown forward.

First thing I see, it's not a 68, but a 66.

It is a Tec motor, most likely a 10 hp as that looks like the base model suburban. I bet if you blew up the pic, the bottom of the dash would state 10 HP. Would be points motor.

The oil everywhere bothers me a bit....was it ever run low?

Non running even with blade, I may go 150

Decks can be found, shouldn't be more than $75 for one. I knew a guy who had 4 he was going to scrap, not sure if he ever did.

In my world it's worth 200. Chains are fifty. If the weights are cast, they are easily a 100. Blade another 100. Nonrunning mower is 150. If you don't need the weights, chains and blade. Buy it. Sell those off and use the money for a deck, seals and ignition repair. I wouldn't wait a week. I would go today and try to get it for 150. Good luck.

$200 would be a steal in my neck of the woods. Everything around here is priced 2 to 3 times higher than elsewhere in the country.

I would if I had the money. He bought a SCUT back in the spring and sold most of his Sears stuff and he had a lot. I wanted his sickle, but no money, story of my life.

Asked him some questions. He confirmed it's a tecumseh.

He is checking for points.

I'd go look at it sooner but I won't be in that area till Monday. May go out and look at it. I'm taking my ramps with me
