Why do you need duals on the front? What purpose does it serve?

Less impact on the soil. So thing can grow easier.

MH81, I posted some info on this tractor in the custom tractors forum. Just a quick run down, The front hubs were off of a Sears rear end that had a 1 inch axle shaft with a keyway in it. To mount them on the front spindles I put in some 1 inch to 3/4 inch bushings in the hubs and shimmed the hub out with some 3/4 inch flat washers. The front rims are 12 inch with 6x12 ag tires. The rear tires are 6.70x15 ags. The inner rims are from older Dodge caravans and have the correct bolt pattern to fit the garden tractor hubs. The outer rims are from a VW I think. They are bolted to the inner rims. The only other modification to this tractor is raising the seat by 1 1/2 inches. Everything else is stock. One warning is that the tractor will top out at a faster speed with the larger rear tires.
