Case with duals, can't tell what model.

If memory serves me, that tractor started out as a "new in crate" old stock 446 from 1977. The purchaser then located a hood from a 448 because he liked the scoop and he eliminated the exhaust bumpout on the left side so he could install the pre-76 pancake mufflers you see on the tractor now.

He also added a three point hitch, the suitcase weight kit, a hydraulic PTO, the dual wheel set up and modified the front end with spindles, hubs and rims from a 600 series to beef it up. It has appeared on e-Bay a few times for a price that scared everyone off. He did drop his asking price but I don't know if he ended up selling it or not. It certainly is a neat looking unit but putting duals on any Case or Ingersoll is a risky proposition. Axle breakage can be expected, thanks to the leverage exerted by the outer wheels when going over uneven ground. If all you want to do is show and parade it, then you'll likely get away with it.

Interesting,Yeah like I've said before,I know for the most part duals are impractical but I just like the looks of them. That's why I started this thread.
