Hello, all.  I am in the process of turning a 1957 Springfield 357a into a "dingo" or rider cart for the family to enjoy.  I bought this out of a kid's scrap trailer for $35.  The deck, engine, and a few other goodies were missing, so I thought it would make a good candidate for a "rider cart".  I installed a 3.75 Briggs sprint, "olded" up with oil~bath air cleaner, and the old gas cap.  I replaced the drive pulley with a centrifugal clutch with a snowblower auger pulley welded to it.  The engine had a 7/8 shaft, and I had to turn it down to 3/4 for the clutch with a side grinder and the engine running.  I also got rid of the primitive radio flyer steering and added ball joints and a pivot bearing for the steering shaft.  It goes about 15 mph.  Now that I've finished fabricating, I'm tearing it down for paint.  I want to reproduce by hand painting the original "Springfield" logo on the hood.  The hood's going to a body man's for straightening, but I can't quite make out all of the writing on it.  Does anyone have a copy of what this logo should look like????  I am shooting for a bit of a sleeper package on this.  Thanks for your help!1024141822.jpg GEDC0430.JPG GEDC0429.JPG

There is a thread here on GTtalk about a sprinfield tractor. I can't get the link to paste though.  Looks like fun.                                                     Roger
