Every time I tear down a Bolens tractor and this time a tuber I just can not beleive the engineering that went into them. To see how they are designed and then see the selling prices just blows my mind.

 

That is so true!

 Bolens even made their own gearboxes on alot of their equipment! Not many manufactures can say that

Think about all the engineering and work that had to be done to build a gearbox from scratch without any computers or CAD programs to use!

I agree and think of the guys running the milling machine cutting the teeth on all those gears. We will never see that kind of workmanship ever again.

Over all the Bolens tractors I have restored I never once gave the machining a thought. Man we have some pretty awesome history here. This makes me really want to get that 800 project started.
