I'm looking for a Briggs 6S To replace the badly locked up one on my Planet Jr Super Tuffy, an example is shown here.00q0q_aPtnQp1IfNS_600x450.jpg

Would you settle for a Briggs 5s with a wrap a rope starter cone as opposed to recoil?

I actually have a 6s with that type of starter in my Briggs collection, but would rather have a correct engine as I plan to take this one to shows.

How much would you want to spend? I have a 6s that I'm going through the carb right now. It ran good but wouldn't suck gas out of the tank.
Did the super tuffy have a recoil on it? The tuffy I have is a rope start and has a 5s on it instead of a 6s. Don't know a whole lot about them.

From what I can tell the super tuffy had the slightly larger 6s with a recoil, maybe willing to spend 30-45 on a running one, but how much would shipping cost?

That's the ad where my pic came from, that one's tight according to the ad which is the same problem I have now.

Did you disassemble it?

Not yet, the carb isn't in real good shape and it is also missing some parts.

Here's the one I have. The pickup tube and carb was full of varnishly old gas and it had a crack in the pickup tube. Everything was gummy and stiff. I cleaned everything up and waiting for the parts to get here. Should be any day now.

As for shipping it, I'm guessing around that $30-35 range to NY. Depends has its shipped.

its a shame we are all so far aprt, as I have one of these sitting on the shelf with the rope start also. You do relies that you can change the rope start over to a recoil one, providing you have the recoil unit and it drive parts.
