That video was pretty disturbing.  Hope you're ok.  Here's someone with too much hair on his hands, may be good for a laugh..

Glad it wasn't any worse!

When I worked in construction, my 2 buddies and myself figured we could be wealthy if someone just video-ed us all day long, as SOMEONE was sure to get hit/fall/slip/whatever....(usually me) and we could be on America's Funniest Video!

Yeah, you might make it to America's Funniest Video....but unless you're a cute baby or animal, you probably won't win.

Glad your ok could gave been a lot worse. I might have mentioned this before but worth repeating. My friend was working on his car on a hot day sweating. He reached over the battery to disconnect & his metal watch band hit the + terminal & arced. He said his watch band actually glowed cherry red. He had to have his watch band surgically removed from his wrist. It lefted an ugly scar. Sometimes we're so good we get too comfortable at what we do without thinking how dangerous things can be. Be safe.

That's not uncommon to happen to wedding rings. Have a metal tool in your hand, messing with a battery, and your ring completes the circuit...

Do a google images search.

Interested in how a battery charger caused a back fire out of the carb?

I've had that happen hundreds of times with no charger hooked up. Had it happen on pull start engines

The intake valve was stuck so it was shooting gas out and when I cranked it a spark came from the battery.

When I do stupid things.... No one is around so I don't admit to doing stupid things.... :D

All seriousness, I do need to be more careful myself.

I'd say if your plug was hooked up and you had spark, more than likely the fuel ignited in the cylinder then was sent out the carb through the stuck intake valve.

I doubt the battery charger had a thing to do with it.
