Finally got to the garage and wrote down the serial number. 53267. We are having a major cold spell here and with no heat in the garage. Well. Till a warmer day.

OK, that's a 1980 Power King 1612 or what used to be known as a Jim Dandy before they started using the number systems as model designations.

That works for me. The guy I got it from said he thought it was a 60, s. The brakes do use cables so I am rounding one up. Can I get the blades at any mower supply?
