I have a John Deere GX345 that the battery light comes on occasionally.  The battery is charging good whether the light is on or off, and the mower runs the PTO without problems.  Has anyone else experienced this or has an idea.  Without a manual, it is hard to fix these electrical problems.  Thanks.

I would check the connectors on the wiring harness to the regulator and the indicator light circuit. They can get dirty and corroded with time.

Yep, and if that doesn't get it, I would start cleaning up grounds to the frame.

Common issue on the 345 model is the voltage regulator causes the battery to over charge.

You say the battery is charging good but how good?Anything over say 15 volts is pushing too high.

I picked up a 2005 and the light was coming on then going off and I checked the battery voltage at 17.5 volts.

Replaced the regulator and now it reads 14.5 volts.

So I personally would start with doing a voltage check with it running when the charging light comes on.
