That engine doesn't say original to me.  Jeff'll be along to straighten me out, though.

that tractor is currently on ebay selling for $299. No it don't have the orginal type engine, but all the rest of it looks pretty good. The rear tires look great in the picture. Even with out the proper engine it would be a fairly good deal. Theres also another one selling up in that area without the right engine that's not been repaint, but his price is high.

This has been on craigslist for about a month. I have been keeping an eye on the ad. Then it showed up on ebay and I thought to ask about it.

Can original engines be found for a reasonable price? How about parts for restoration? It doesn't seem like there are too many listed on ebay very often.

you almost need another tractor to get some of the parts. Engines show up in all sorts of places as that engine was used on several different tractors.

Should have a 5 3/4 hp briggs 143302 (for 1959?) or 402 (for 196-61?) pending on mechanical or airvane gov for pull start. Parts i don't really have an answer i found a few missing ones for mine but i am making/machining the rest. People keep telling me they are fairly common but i dont see to many. I may make a few extra belt guards and clutch locks and some other smaller parts too. If anybody knows the size of the idler pulley and type of spring for the reverse please let me know i havent had any luck on finding this info?

It has $ 100+ of wheel weights on it. Plus chains. I don't know about the tractor versions but the walk behinds are fairly common.

Good luck.
