Well, I have a 52" blade off of a John Deere 140-H3, I have had it for several years, but I don't need it because my 140 has a loader. I have decided to put it on my Bolens HT-23, since it only has a mower deck, it has nothing to do in the winter.

Anyway, I got part of the mount built today, hoping to finish it tomorrow, but that's depending on how much snow we get tonight on if I can get to my neighbors shed to work on it. I wish it was already done so I could push snow with it but I guess I'll use a shovel till I get it done lol.

Also got a picture of the Bolens posing next the my bug that's being rebuilt and I also got a picture of the cat warming up by the heater

That's just like Cat, taking the best spot in the house.  I didn't know you had a personal visit from him, though.

How are you going to mount the blade to the bar you have added to the front of the tractor. The JD's have a front mounting arrangement built into the frame with a lot of metal added to strengthen the area.  The blade puts a lot of stress on the frame when you inevitably run into some solid object.

I have cut off the lower mounts on my John Deere 140. The 140 doesn't have a use for them because I am building it into a crawler and it now sits to high on the tracks to use the blade or any other attachments on the front mount. (it also has a loader) . Anyway, I am going to use those mounts and then build the upper part of the mount (that is the 140 frame) and then weld it all on the mount I already have built. I am going to put more braces on and it should be strong enough.

I hope all of that makes since

Got the mount finished, I need to get some hydraulic hoses and then I can go test it. Once it is working I will clean it up and paint it.

Finally finished the bracing on the quick attach mount. Although the blade mount is in the way of 1 hydraulic port so the blade will raise but it will not lower. If I lower the hydraulic ports maybe a inch then I should have the room to plug the second line in.

Anyway, once that is fixed it should be ready to go!. I stood on the blade when it was raised up and nothing bent or broke .

Now I can mount any John Deere front attachments which will be nice since there is a lot John Deere equipment around here and there is no Bolens to be found.
