morning, my son gave me a 1969 110 for a "winter " project ! Ser. # 133777 with a K181S eng. ser.# D228596. here's my problem. new battery and cables, new key switch, new solenoid, new plug. engine turns over when jumped to starter, but nothing with key switch. brake pedal was depressed. any other safety switches i might have missed? thanks in advance. new at this computer stuff.like the old stuff better! but....... this is pretty cool.   rebel

There are at least 2 safety switches on that tractor - one on the transaxle that requires it to be in neutral and a PTO switch located in the dash.  Both of those need to be "tripped" for the starter to engage.  Unfortunately I don't have a service manual for your machine.

My first concern would be that you have the proper replacement ignition switch.    According to my service manual ---- a 110--kohler-- k181s    should have a magneto ignition.      AM31995 key switch (bronze colored case)  should be used in solid state and magneto tractors.

Oh yeah.     :welcome:    Rick

Rick is right but many of those magneto machines got converted over to points and that throws many variables in the picture.  Sounds like a wiring harness diagram might be helpful so I dug one up
