We were here last night with the boy. Influenza A positive. Sitting on the couch my wife noticed his soft spot is raised. She called the on call pediatric dr and they said take him to the ER now.

Can be a sign of meningitis or some other pressure on the brain. Meningitis has flu like symptoms as well.

So we jumped in the truck and here we are. Rather be safe than sorry!

Waiting and worried.

I am seriously serious about no more babies. Scare the crap out of you!!!!!

Hopefully it isn't an all nighter, but you never can trust the ER for getting things done fast.

If it was last night, you would have an excuse for staying up late to watch 2015 waltz in, but tonight... well...

Praying for you, buddy.

Ben W.

I totally agree your sick kids can scare the crap out of you.  I remember when our first son got sick, as a less than 1 year old, and quickly ran a fever of 105.  I panicked.  We called the doctor and he was able to calm us somewhat but it was always scary when high fever hit.  Your family and the little guy are in my prayers and I pray that he gets well soon.

Don

The doctors have said that it's not alarming. My wife feels they are blowing us off. It's raised but soft. He exhibits no symptoms of brain pressure. They said he would act completely different than himself. Avoid eye contact ect. She got pretty upset with the doctor.

So we are waiting to get discharged. Wife is calling his primary and taking him there tomorrow.
