Hey guys.  I have been researching Kohler K321 14hp.... My gt-14 needs to be either sleeved or get a new motor.  I found a motor from a 1970's John Deere 140 "K321" - will it fit in my 1970 gt-14?  The oil pan is integral to the frame on my GT.....

Joe's has a 140 K321 oil pan on EBay right now. Does it look the same?

Kohler's designation for the 140 motor is K321AS.

I was going to say my GT-14 has the K321S, but it is a Wheel Horse GT-14 and you are talking a Jacobsen!

Do the blocks look similar? Is the oil pan on the donor about the same size?  How about the dip stick, is it similar? These are all things to look into. If the donor has a shorter oil pan, the rod dipper may not be long enough to work correctly. Also the dip stick may read incorrectly.
