The 2.6 is a known head failure problem, the heads are expensive and can be scarce. otherwise, decent trucks.

The most common head failure was a crack between the valves, which can be repaired for a fraction the cost of a new or used head.

Usually they can be repaired, and for what those heads cost a fraction can still be substantial, but the problem is, they can fail again.  We've sold them 3-4 times and run into multiple failures on several. Mind you this has been years ago now.
