I would love to ad one to the chainsaw collection, but sadly, the bar and chain would probably cost as much as the saw.  I almost never buy saws without bars unless I am going to use them for parts.

Only problem is finding one.

The bar on my Bolens saw is a 'NLA' size . Been looking for over a year now for a replacement chain size that will fit and no luck yet :(

Maybe, but a saw that old normally uses 1/2" pitch chain which is much more expensive.  Also since I know some one will bring this up, you can still get 1/2" pitch as NOS or used.

You just have to be at the right auction at the right time. That's where I got my parts saws. I needed one of the bars off one of them. They went cheap being the engines are tight.

Have any sources for the NOS chain???

Besides watching ebay, not realy, but it does show up, I also know 404 pitch will work on some 1/2 pitch saws.
