Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing . Sitting here  reading this I'm thinking of my own Mom , 86 , every time I see her she looks more frail then the pervious time . Yes think of all the good times and repeat the stories to the younger members of your family so memories will be past on . Al

Got Mom's room cleaned out at the nursing home this morning, how can one person pile two pickup loads of "stuff" in one little room in just over one year???

Then to the funeral home to make the arrangements, roughly $10K & that's nothing fancy.

I hear ya on the 10K funeral..  I can't afford to die!   :(

Christmas will always stir our emotions with the loss of our boys and now you will remember and celebrate your mom's life as well.  Our Neighbor's wife's mother is in Hospice care at their home and she could go any day now..  We are all in each other's thoughts & prayers as we cope with this..  The circle of life is never ending is the greatest gift we have all been granted.  May you (we all) find peace and solace in the New Year.

Had a very nice graveside service today, funeral home did a great job!  Mortician is 4th generation, he & his Dad are family friends.  The preacher was good, I went all the way through school with him & his wife, we had Mom for 4th & 6th grade teacher!  More family & friends than I expected with such short notice & being a Holiday weekend.  We rushed things a bit since my brother's daughter was already here from Denver & goes back tomorrow.

Now for just settling up the estate!
