This afternoon 'posta go to the in-laws for Christmas.

Since life doesn't have a fast-forward button,  and not being a drinking man, I'm trying to figure out how many Vicodin's and Flexeril's I can take and still be breathing tomorrow.......

Kris,

That's hilarious but I am in the same boat except I will drink. One good thing though is the in laws we are going to visit today are the better ones and I actually enjoy visiting them. We go to the mom in laws side this weekend, her and I have never hit it off so I will be in some quiet room in the overly populated little house keeping to myself.

My in-laws are actually cool, and I get along with them really well. We are going to their house tomorrow afternoon. Tonight however, will be with my family, and let's just say, it will be a very long evening. No alcohol, drugs, or hiding places. Although I hate to wish this on anybody, I'm actually hoping to get a fire call right after supper, so that we don't have to stay all night.  :(

I have to go to a family gathering on christmas eve, but not my family or my wifes family (all 4 parents are deceased), its a friend of my wifes parents. We have been going for 20 years and the family has doubled but the house is the same size. Now there are 10 screaming kids running around. Last year 3 of them had the flu and puked during the get together. Guess what I ended up getting for Christmas??

I have the flu already, and will be missing one (if not both) of the Christmas celebrations this year.

Staying home by myself is just the responsible thing to do.

I actually have a lot of fun and enjoy my in laws.

But back in my first marriage I considered strongly going down in the basement and cutting off a finger so I could go to the ER instead of going to the in laws. It was that bad. I have never met a group of people so bitter and unhappy in my life!

I bet right now they are blaming the government for them being broke and not having good jobs. Don't you dare say maybe that's your fault and stop blaming everyone else for your screw ups.

Sorry thinking of them still gets my blood boiling.....I think I'll give my MIL now a big hug. She treats me so well. If we are there and my wife starts bickering with me her mother looks at her and tells her to shut up and goes on about how I am the best husband ever. It's great.

Get county to do a test tonight. Just run out the door before anyone hears the dispatch. :smilewink:  :smilewink:

The fact I couldn't have any oyster stew and currently have a 102 temp would suggest this is the real thing. At least it isn't norovirus.
