Decided to restore the 58' Ride-a-Matic this year. I have set some big goals this year such as trying to get a Bolens cart,Snowblade, snowblower, and a saw blade attachment restored as well before the month of August so I have my work cut out for me!

I'm trying something new this year and will attempt to get everything disassembled and degreased in the winter months so when the nice weather comes along I can get the stuff blasted and painted then re-assemble!

I want to get the K160 rebuilt over the winter so that will be the first job to tackle, Got the engine Pulled and once again we have another crusty cracked Coil!

Looking forward to your progress on the Bolens Ride-a-matic restoration Brian. That is exactly what the coil looked like on the knuckle front Ride-a-matic that dad has. I can't remember the year of it hence the knuckle front term LOL. That 58 Ride-a-matic is the only one Dad needs yet. I am still working on him to get a Grounds Keeper and a Ridemaster.

Nothing like a farcical and perm for the old girl. Good luck with it. Why is it that the belt guard is always missing?
