Anymore i hate Craigslist.  Every night i type in 'john deere'  to see the new adds and wouldnt you know i barely get any you get all the idiots out there that put a million keywords on everything have to scroll thought there junk plus you get those cheap golf cart look alikes that should be in a different category.  same goes with searching any type of vehicle you always get dealer after dealer of the same car.

Sorry you got bit.  Hope you break even on it.  Dude's probably in Nigeria.

I always liked this from "best of craigslist"

http://www.craigslis.../851215608.html

"If you are from Africa and try to scam me do not waste my time because I will swim across the ocean and find you in your dirty hut and judo chop your face with an ultimate punch right to the face."

Please note, i am not advicating violence in quoting this.  It is actually a parody of violence and worth reading the entire link imo for a good laugh.

Plenty of room Ben. It's been a long time since I had my butt kicked, and a good butt kicking is good for the soul sometimes. I just hope when we get down there, that the guy doesn't disappoint me!  :smilewink:

Wonder how the guy would react if the GTtalk mafia showed up at his door this weekend? We aren't Amish, but we're pretty close to being as red neck as it comes!

You can drive, but no knives or guns. Just a good old fashion Clint Eastwood brawl. Last man standing wins! Guns and knives are to fast. We all want the scammer to suffer a little, so he'll think about what he did, next time he plans on doing it again!

My nephew got duped for 3 grand from some bimbo overseas one some cockamimie scheme she sold him on.  He might learn that there are a-holes all over the world.  For a while that I got hits on CL almost immediately and they wanted to do the money order thing.  I refused and the dumbasses kept trying for quite a while afterward.  If it smells funny at all, take a walk away from it..  The big flag is if the person will even offer you more than the price that you listed it for!  My dad always said that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably isn't!

A few years ago my son was shopping for his first vehicle...a truck. I could not believe some of the stories, most were on the battle fields all over the country lol. This one idiot actually told me I could do PayPal because he would send a PayPal rep with his friend to except my cashiers check to make it legit for me. I guess this rep has an authorized PayPal decal on his forehead....sand for brains.

Hank,

Sorry to hear about your adventure.  I have dealt with CL many times and my rule is a phone number and address before we proceed.  And as for honest people.  I can't say enough about the guys that frequent this site.  Many dealings and NO foul play.

Happy Holidays to all

Dave

Have you had that appraised?

It's sad to say, in this world a nice honest guy is considered to be a fool and a crook is thought to be a clever business man.
