Here are some pics of the 1250-01 I saved from being parted this winter.
I purchased a seat pan and spring off of a HT23 that was being parted on Ebay.

It had a car seat on it when I got it.It looked like a seat out of a Mustang II.

The seat is off of that orange thing that came home with me today. It was a freebe.
15hp Kohler Command that smokes. It will be repowered and sold to buy more Bolens parts.

I need another hood before I tear into it and prep for paint. And I would like to get a set of 6 lug 12x12 rims and a decent set of used tires for on it.
The 15x8.5x27 tires that is on it have tubes and are loaded.I'm not sure what they're loaded with but they slosh around if you rock the tractor. Both of the front tires are New Carlisle tires. They're rated at 75psi and will not hold air with any less than 30psi in them.I put 40lbs in them,I'm just not sure about how much air those old rims will hold before splitting. It steers Super easy.

The tractor runs perfect for lack of a better word.
The original Hydro Fan is intact and shows no sign of welds or cracks. All of the hydraulic lines have been replaced and the cylinder was just rebuilt. It does need another voltage regulator put on but I have a NOS one that looks identical to the one that's on it.It's about 2 or 3 inches longer that the one that was on my 1050.

The original S12D Wisconsin is still in it.And it runs really really good.

The Orange tractor behind it in Pic 4 and 5 is the one I got for free and took the seat off of.
Orange tractor has a worn out 15hp Kohler Command on it but I have another engine that will fit on it.16hp Briggs twin or the low hour 16.5 Tecumseh Enduro.
Yuk enduro.

I'm going to sell the Orange mower and buy Bolens parts and maybe an attachment if I can find something around my area.
Should be able to get $300 out of it.It has a nice deck and foot pedal Hydro and walk though frame.

I have not seen a large frame in person yet. Are they that much bigger than tube frames? Anybody have pics of the two side by side.

Looks like a nice 1250, thanks for the pics.

They're a bit bigger.I know that sitting on it,it feels like a small Farm tractor.

Here is another pic. You can see how much farther the 1250 extends with the wheels lined up with the 1220

WOW. This pic makes the tube frame look half the size. They still put a 12 horse engine in it. Seems like it would be underpowered

Dont let the 12HP S-12D fool you. They have all the power you need.
