I have a question for the gurus here, has anybody here thought about making a three point logging winch for the larger LGT's farmi-winch.jpg ? I know they have ones for larger tractors but I wonder how practical they would be scaled down. The reason why I ask my uncle and I do a quite a bit of firewood every year and currently we use a long cable to drag tree sections with and it's a pain to drag the cable to the tree, then drag it out and then put a short chain on the tree to drag it farther. I was thinking a small three point winch unit would be the cats meow.

Some members have made a garden tractor sized towable log arch with very good results.  I think with the weight involved you will need an extra set of wheels to keep the front tires on the ground.
