In an effort to ease your suffering, and toss someone under a bus, I think it was an infected PM from TG that did it in. I have nothing to back that up, just a gut feeling.

Note to self: Get Tink a gift card for coffee for Christmas.

My HD got lost somehow.  It failed all tests and I had to reload Windows..  I'll see how long it lasts this time.  Glad I had everything backed up!!

Did your captions page go down the scrapper?

I lost a lot of the pictures I had squirreled away for sure.  I don't back that folder up as it is forever changing..   :wallbanging:   Gotta go grab some more I guess!

I don't know on mine. It's a Dell laptop. 3rd one in a year on it. Junk don't buy dell.

I'll drop it off at our it guy and let him repair it and I'll get it back.

It wasn't the actual HD.  It was Virus / Software related as it corrupted the OS..  I've never seen a virus destroy the whole C:\ file directory like that.  The whole directory tree was scrambled thus I was unable to do a System Restore like I've done in the past (couldn't find a restore point.).  I reloaded the whole smash and rebuilt..  Not a fun thing to do but the HD still works..  Keeps me on my toes I guess!
